Fresh Start

It’s time to start Fresh.  I’m ditching my old blog for several reasons including some sort of technical bug that kept reposting old posts. Anyway…

The music here is soft but pervasive; you dont really notice it playing amidst all the noise until you grab your coffee or tea or whatever doublecarmelfuckedupmacciato type shit you love and find a seat.  The coffee shop is pretty crowded today.  It’s a 70 degree day in October so everyone is out enjoying the beautiful weather.  I got up early to bum around the 3rd Ward taking pictures.  I got some great shots but the sun was a little too bright which made it difficult.

I’ve been thinking a lot about the last few months and how much I’ve changed since moving to the city.  Suddenly I’ve realized how different I am.  At first I was a little scared because many of my favorite things were somehow no longer enjoyable.  Now I’ve grown to realize that my favorites have changed is all; the old ones just dont do it for me anymore.

Mixed with these new things are old ideas and interests that have felt stifled til now. I’ve always loved vintage pieces – now I feel comfortable mixing them into my wardrobe.  The place I’m from…. well it’s not exactly backward, but fitting in is highly regarded.  American Eagle this, Abercrombie that.  Everyone looks the same.  I like that I can experiment a little here.

Ah well, life is better here.

Hey-lo! Was looking for an e-mail address to answer the question about who else I like, but I couldn’t find one.

Anyhoozle, I have really, really eclectic taste in music. There’s really no genre I don’t like.. Sure, I can do without ICP, but I love so many folks it’d take me a few days to categorize them all.

Favorites include (but are not limited to): Radiohead, Sia, Imogen Heap, Erykah Badu, Jason Mraz, John Mayer, DMB and… so many more I can’t think straight. haha
